i saw a stat on one of our news sites which had double that figure for the u.s.

roughly 10x ours per 100,000. the vast % of ours are what the cops refer to as 'sos' violence.
that means 'shit on shit', or crooks killing each other.

There are different figures depending on if it is homocides in general, gun homicides or gun deaths but the US figures are always so much higher it's clearly not just some statistics issue.
