As far as agnostics go, truth is they're the only ones who are intellectually honest about it, when you get down to the facts.

Believers have faith that there IS a god. Atheists have faith that there ISN'T. Agnostics say "I don't know, and neither do you", which is a factual statement.

I still call myself a Believer. I don't KNOW there is a God. I believe there is, because I've seen things that don't meet any physical scientific explanations. But that's a matter of faith, not reality.

Then of course, JC and Satan post right here on this board, so I guess that's evidence, right?

Alleged white supremacist arrested in connection with Colorado prison chief's death

Colorado authorities have arrested a man who was sought for questioning in the slaying of the state's top prisons official.



James Lohr, 47, was arrested by Colorado Springs police, Lt. Jeff Kramer of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirmed Friday morning. Lohr and Thomas Guolee, 31, another man sought by police, are thought to have connections to the 211 Crew, a white supremacist gang formed in Colorado prisons in the mid-1990s.

The only suspect authorities have named in Clements' death, ex-convict Evan Ebel, is also thought to have had connections to the 211 Crew. Ebel, 28, was killed in a shootout with Texas deputies two days after Clements' death.

The sheriff's office said Lohr was arrested about 3:25 a.m. (5:25 a.m. ET) after he led Colorado Springs police on a short car chase and then fled on foot. He was being held on $250,000 bond pending a court appearance Monday on a felony charge of eluding law enforcement and on three unrelated outstanding warrants.

The head of the state Corrections Department, Tom Clements, was gunned down March 19, apparently while answering the doorbell at his home in Monument, Colo.

Police are still on the lookout for Guolee, who has been called armed and dangerous.

I can't disagree with you there. I was raised Catholic and I would venture to say 90% have never read the Bible or even given it a decent flip-through.

So was I, (parochial school, whole deal) and that's the problem with that vociferous 90% (regardless of denomination)...they don't know WTF they're talking about, cherry-pick a few verses and twist it to fit their personal bigotry. Not to mention if you really read the bible, a lot of it is pretty heinous... Not saying there's not kernels of good in it in places, but to suggest it's a scientific manual, or that it somehow is relevant in a rational, logic-based non-biblical debate, or can be used as a valid objection in the discussion about people-who may not necessarily subscribe to it-'s rights, etc? Preposterous. Same goes for the Quran, the book of Mormom, whatever. I'm tired of the false sense of entitlement most religious types exhibit that somehow their beliefs should trump fact, logic reason, anyone's rights, etc.


In short, religion (whatever flavor) isn't necessary for people to behave "morally", and furthermore organized religion is responsible for a larger percentage of what's WRONG in the world.

I'm tired of THIS attitude:
