A friend had to undergo some tests a couple of weeks back.

Had to stay overnight at a hospital.

She has no insurance at present.....bill is over $20,000.

For TWO FUCKING DAYS.


Fucking bullshit.

The Healthcare Industry is a giant scam.

Fortunately they say they can discount the bill drastically, and perhaps forgive the entire amount.

I had to have my left ear washed out ( earwax) ..I spent 30 min waiting..10 min holding a plastic cup under my ear as the nurse used a huge syringe and water to flush my ear...Doctor bill was $125 for brief conversation with doc..and $475 from the hospital for nurse doing the job.....

I did call and raise hell..got the bill reduced to $175 total..but they sure tried to fuck me over ...

I've had 5 pacemaker surgeries and get my pacer cbecked af the hospital every 6 mos...hasn't caused me a penny...

A few years back I had a sliver of steel embedded in my eye. When to emergency room and they spent 3/4 of an hour with an insulin needle trying to get it out. I could hear the needle dragging over the sliver the whole time. Then they gave me shit about my blood pressure being high (go figure) and not wanting to release me. They gave up and gave me a referral to an eye surgeon (and a bill for 600.00$)...

The next morning the eye surgeon plucked it out in two minuets with a pair of common tweezers and charged me 75.00$

Well, you could go to the Buffalo VA Hospital where dozens of vets were exposed to Hepatitis because they reused insulin pens over and over on multiple people:
