No, actually the Founding Fathers wanted exactly the opposite. They didn't even want a standing army HERE, let alone military bases all over the world, in countries where the wars ended half a century ago.
That's where that whole 2nd Amendement thing came in. The important part was actually the "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state". The "keep and bear arms" part was so that militia could be called up if and when needed, if there was a threat to the country. It's the world refusing to support NuttyYahoo and the Likud Zionfascist agenda to "restore" Israel to it's "proper" Nile to the Euphrates borders established by God Himself way back in the book of Genesis.........
Of course, the right wing moronic jackass fails to realize that God's little talk with Abraham took place before he had ANY children, and also included the part where God told Abe he would be the father of MANY nations, and that the borders He described were to be the land for ALL of Abe's descendants, and not just the one branch of the family tree..
