Rain, floods and landslides are nothing new, and are not cause to sound the climate change alarm...

It's laughable that people actually think giving big corporations and governments more tax money will change the climate. Most western governments can't even run themselves and most big corporations are ran by a colluded group of corporate gangsters. Honestly people. Do you think a bunch of incompetents and criminals are going to make any kind of difference?

All while people are starting to protest their governments in the streets over austerity measures, someone is trying to push the world into war (Eastern Europe, The Middle East, and the relations of China and Japan are all volatile).

The west can't even make a banking system work decent and it's going to save the world? What a joke.

Says my fucking eyes. I grew up in mountains and glaciers. Yes, the glaciers were melting even back then, but the amount they receded in the first 1/2 of my life could be recorded in inches. The second 1/2 of my life they are recorded in yards.

And floods in the drought-prone prairies? We just went through the most intense rainfall in Canadian history...

What's your source for this crap? Balgonie SK got 200+ mm this past weekend...and Alberta's most intense rainfall was last year, resulting in massive flooding.

Prior to that, it was Buffalo Gap SK in 1961....

                          Coldest Antarctic June Ever Recorded

                          Eric Worrall

Antarctica continues to defy the global warming script, with a report from Meteo France, that June this year was the coldest Antarctic June ever recorded, at the French Antarctic Dumont d’Urville Station.

According to the press release, during June this year, the average temperature was -22.4c (-8.3F), 6.6c (11.9F) lower than normal. This is the coldest June ever recorded at the station, and almost the coldest monthly average ever – only September 1953 was colder, with a recorded average temperature of -23.5c (-10.3F).

June this year also broke the June daily minimum temperature record, with a new record low of -34.9c (-30.8F).

Other unusual features of the June temperature record are an unusual excess of sunlight hours (11.8 hours rather than the normal 7.4 hours), and unusually light wind conditions.

Dumont d’Urville Station has experienced ongoing activity since 1956. According to the Meteo France record, there is no other weather station for 1000km in any direction.

Al Gore: climate change is the 'biggest crisis our civilisation faces'

                            BBC

Climate change is "the biggest crisis our civilisation faces", says former US Vice President Al Gore.

Mr Gore sat down with the BBC's Jon Donnison in Australia, where his organisation, The Climate Reality Project, was holding training sessions to educate future leaders in the fight against climate change.

Australia's conservative Prime Minister Tony Abbott is viewed by many as a climate change sceptic and once described the science behind human-induced global warming as "absolute crap".

"We're way past time where it's responsible for any national leader to reject the science behind the climate crisis," Mr Gore said.

Eight years after he released the film An Inconvenient Truth, Mr Gore said we have come a long way in awareness of global warming, but there is still much more to be done to find solutions.
