Yeah, I agree about the kids suffering. But - in my personal opinion - I don't think abortion is necessary, most of the time. My county health department not only provides free birth control, it also provides emergency contraception. And I know somebody is gonna say, "well how will they get there?" The same way they'll get to the abortion clinic. And I don't have a problem with my tax dollars paying for birth control for these teens. Depo shot, the pill, a gigantic bag of rubbers, morning after pill, I'll gladly help cover that if it will help reduce the number of kids being born into poverty. Or the girl or the boy can just walk into the convenience store up the street and plop down a few bucks and buy a box of rubbers. I mean, it ain't like these kids are going to fucking die if they can't screw from sun up til sun down.

Racism and homophobia yes. Violent crime? No fucking way dude. We didn't go around sucker punching people and knocking them out just out to play a game. None of the kids in any school I went to ever went on a shooting spree because they weren't popular. When I was a teenager you had a problem with another kid you handled it one on one with your fists not guns or knives. If you got your ass kicked you didn't get a bunch of buddies to shoot up the other guys house. Some unscrupulous shit went down but not as often as it seems to nowdays.

Oh I totally agree with you on the double standard. It's ridiculous. And I'm all for making men and women step up to their financial responsibilities for the kids they create. I'd just about blow a judge to get the child support I'm owed. But it ain't gonna happen so I didn't hook up with another chick and start cranking out more of em. I stopped at one. Unfortunately there's not much incentive for these young girls to quit cranking out the babies. Not when they can get food stamps, Medicaid, a check for each kid each month, housing assistance, childcare assistance, all the things that the rest of us have to go to work to be able to pay for. When it's just handed to you, no strings attached, there's really no incentive to get a job.

Honestly, nearly every time I go buy groceries I see a young, able bodied white chick with a couple kids playing the Put That Back game 'cause they're maxing out their EBT cards. You would think they would learn after the first one. Especially since chicks have been able to go the Health Department and get free birth control at least since I was a teenager. And dudes can too - they give away rubbers like lollipops at a bank.

A lot of these girls come from broken homes and associate with douchebag young males and only want unconditional love - the kind that having a dependent child offers. Also, there seems to be a rather sick culture of older men that target and fuck young teen girls, largely exploiting the ones from mainly broken homes.

I'm sorry, are there ghetto whores that have kids for EBT, welfare, etc.? Of course. But that's a small minority and the rest have kids for far less logical and far more emotive reasons: like keeping a man, having someone that loves them unconditionally and gives total attention, etc...

And Sesh is correct, the societies that we think of as the most open and permissive have the lowest teen pregnancy rates. Why is that? they don't want welfare checks in Holland?

I wouldn't call the welfare these kids get an incentive to get pregnant - I'd call it a disincentive to stop getting knocked up.

And if you think it's a small minority then come to my local grocery store and watch them stream through the lines. I'll admit I don't know how it is up north, but down here it's a problem.

And as far as low teen pregnancy rates, they're cranking em out at my kid's middle school. And in the high school. Again, that could be just here in the south - I won't try to speak for the rest of the country.

And no, I've never said "starve the child". I donate money to a program that feeds school age children over the weekend and during the summer. I also donate money to a program that buys school supplies for children that can't afford it. Because no child should have to suffer for his/her "parents' " stupidity.

The "blinding obvious" is that none of this is even an issue IF the chick and/or the dude goes and buys a box of rubbers.
