Yeah. I read a great article on that in the early 90's inTime I think. The captain of the ship was derisively called "robocruiser" because he was a macho fuckwit spoiling for a fight with the Iranian rev guard naval units. There we're people under him and over him complaining previously but he was left in place and should been removed. There was fire traded between the Vincennes and Iranian gunboats, and there wasn't a lot of time to decide to shoot or not. But it was a tragedy that never should have happened. Ironically, the aircraft they thought they were shooting at was a F-14 tomcat, a plane mostly associated with the U.S. Navy.

Well, I thought it was funny, taking a serious post, completely ignore its contents & point out a blatant, almost criminal error.

Back to the drawing board.

Well, actually, I might keep on doing this for a while. It might become funny by repetition.
