If Heaven existed, Charb, Cabu and the others would be having an awesome ball up there. What happened to them and their families is overwhelmingly sad, but they deserve the homage that's being paid to them.
I like this cartoon a lot. It was published on Tuesday or Friday. Whenever you put a God in the equation, people will do unspeakable acts that they normally wouldn't do because they demonizes nonbelievers (Indians are savages, for America, Jews are subhuman for the Nazis and the Infidels for the Muslims) it's an age old practice and people keep falling for it again and again.........it'd be real easy to get an E-Jesus worked up enough to go kill some blacks, Jews, Mexicans, Muslims, Foreigners, Catholics, gays, atheists, pagans, liberals and justify it in the name of God!
They're going to hell anyways, let's send them there earlier!
It's the classic, when good people stand by and do nothing, most sane Muslims dont want to put their neck or their families necks on the line and become the spokesmen for their religion and against terrorism. The average Muslim is just as afraid of the terrorist as the average German was afraid of the Nazis. To speak out against them would be a death sentence......which is exactly what the terrorists want.
Apathy is far more responsible for the continuing terrorist movement...........maybe not as much as America's moronic approach to it in the last 15 years but close.
The extremists on both sides want more war because as with guns...........the only way to stop mass killings is with more guns

Exactly. And as far as France, secret services do a great job, though. They keep an eye on them. If some suddenly get out of their holes and take action for good and are able to hit their targets, the fault is that of the Ministry of the Interior. Charlie's journalists' protection was way insufficient (two poor underarmed policemen), the threat wasn't taken seriously enough.
Stronger measures should have been more adequately taken as soon as Charlie's headquarters were destroyed 4 years ago. The national craze and sympathy for them is a good thing, but it's too late now... They needed that support right after the destruction of their working place.
