Curry predicts another decade of a global warming ‘pause’ or ‘hiatus’. “I’ve made my projection – global surface temperatures will remain mostly flat for at least another decade,” she explained

Makes one wonder who paid for this research. Certainly no grant money from any major oil corporations and/or private foundations.

kkkristy, what is the downforce coefficient for drag in a US regulated 'passenger vehicle'?

I've posted this before but it's a great reminder that we have cost effective technologies that could cut our dependence on fossil fuels right now and have had them for years!

Here in Michigan Stan and Iris Ovshinsky have developed a hydrogen fuel cell that's cheap and can be retrofitted to gas cars. They've also developed a solar panel that looks like a roof shingle and instead of using shingles on your roof you could use those! New roof that powers your house!

Yet somehow these are evil commie hippie socialist liberal bad things or liberalcommiehippieismists bad things.

The base Tesla Model S goes 208 miles on a charge. That would be more than a week's worth of driving for me for around six bucks and 25 cents. It would be great to have a full electric for a daily beater and then a gas car for fun.

No idea, asscrack. The question you should be asking is how many times can you fail at getting your G.E.D.

So when you're talking out of your ass on cars and mpg and all the other shit apparently you and only you know about, please explain the differences between a passenger car tire and an Indycar tire.

The turns at Indy are banked but only slightly compared to NASCAR. Is there a difference between pavement and tire compounds affecting tire wear on government road grades?

or are you just talking out of your wiki gogglee ass?

KK, I didn't leap to dirty air, water, or soil, or pumping oil. If you want a conversation about any of these topics, you know I'll get with you in another thread.
So you want to play semantics to justify polluting the earth, bully for you

OK, 2014 is tied for the hottest year on record so it's OK to keep polluting the earth, block all renewable energy, and drill baby drill!

Keep giving those terrorists money from oil because, because, because...........OBAMA!

The only way this could get better is if we took away our National Park system and can block over 100 years of presidential mandates to drill baby drill, keep fracking baby!

                  Oh wait

Yep, so since it's tied we can keep polluting

Nothing to see here, move along folks............pollution isn't real, it's a tie so therefore it's a lie

This isn't about pollution or the half Kenyan prez.

Facts aren't semantics. .07 temperature on most charts would be considered noise or something to round off.

Sorry about HR 330 or The Distinguished Flying Cross National Memorial Act. What the heck does a green job add to the Distinguished Flying Cross National Memorial?

So it's technically hotter by .07 but because that number isn't high enough for you therefore it's a lie by Obama to rule the world

Tell the truth......if Obama came out and said shoving a red hot knife up your ass is a bad thing, you'd find every reason on earth to defend your right to shove a hot knife up your ass!

And this has everything to do with pollution and renewable energy because if you dispute that the earth is warming then you dispute that pollution is a bad thing and you support terrorism through oil dollars!

Why do you hate America so much, Jack

So, are you familiar with foot pounds? Let me wise up your ignorant pot smoking dumbass. Everything around you right now as we type, 98% of everything in your immediate eyesite, line of site: touch a truck. A semi tractor trailer hauler. How any foot pounds of energy does it takes to move 40 tons a distance of 100 feet?

Tire technology as we know it was developed at Indy. Braking technology as we know it was developed at Indy. Turbo technology as we know it was developed at Indy. And safety, or chassis technology as we know it was developed at Indy.

A few here are old enough to remember Body by Fisher.

I still have no fucking idea why "foot pounds" has to do with climate change. I also highly doubt you know basic mechanical physics of any automobile without Goggling an warped argument and I also highly doubt all transportation technology is restricted to some shitty race car track. Besides, dumbass, you're talking more about power-to-weight ratio(s).

Go back to studying where the verb is in the sentence "See asscrack run."
