    Ford Ex-Girlfriend Charged

A Kansas woman was charged Friday with giving guns to the felon who shot up a Kansas plant, federal prosecutors said.

Sarah Hopkins, 28, faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of transferring the Zastava AK-47-style semi-automatic rifle and a Glock .40-caliber handgun to ex-boyfriend Cedric Ford, 38. She is charged with one count of transfer of a weapon to a convicted felon.

Prosecutors said Hopkins knew Ford was a convicted felon and was not allowed to have the firearms. The ATF said Hopkins told investigators she had been in a relationship with Ford but moved out in July 2015.

Hopkins is not the woman who sought a protection from abuse order in February, which was served to Ford at work about 90 minutes before the first shooting began, authorities said.

Damn that's one ugly bitch. She should get more than 10 years for illegally transferring possession of those firearms.

I've been arguing this one with gun nuts on another board. I presented this case as an argument for "smart gun" technology, which would make bullshit like this impossible, as the guns would only be usable by the legal owner - the fat cow pictured above, in this case - and would be completely useless to her felon boyfriend. It wouldn't necessarily solve all the instances of unqualified gun ownership, but it would certainly end "strawman purchases" like this one, the guns used in the Columbine massacre, the Sandy Hook massacre, the Tulalip high school shooting up here in Cascadia, etc. All "legally purchased" guns, but not used by the person who legally purchased them.

It sickens me to read all the lame excuses some of those gun nuts come up with to not support this. "blah blah blah second amendment yada yada my cock is too small etc". Well... unless you're a convicted felon, and thus SHOULDN'T OWN A FUCKING GUN, why would a procedure to secure legal gun purchases bother you??

The problem is you can't retrofit a half gazillion guns with that technology. Which would be battery powered and probably prone to breaking and would leave your gun about as useful as a rock. But it worked for Bond and if I could buy a PPK like his I'd do it in a second.

Well, this wouldn't be quite as secure as having the technology in the gun itself, but it's the next best thing.....

You could secure existing handguns with these locks and that would prevent anybody else from using them. Don't know if they make these for rifles yet, but those should probably be kept in gun safes anyway.

319 bucks?? No fuckin way. I have two gun safes and that's good enough. Both safes are bolted to the floor/wall so they're about as secure as they can be. Sure, somebody could spend the time to jerk them out and then use a torch to cut them open. But those are what we call criminals. Ain't no way in hell I'd pay 319 bucks for some battery powered piece of shit to lock up every one of my guns. Nope, ain't happening.

It's new technology, so the price will obviously come down on it within the next few years. I'm guessing their target demographic here is somebody who owns one handgun, and doesn't want to buy a safe for it, but would like a way to keep it secure and accessible at the same time. For multiple guns, the safe is obviously a better move, at least as far as existing guns go.

A single handgun safe that is both electronic and has a key lock is under a hundred bucks. A freaking completely manual trigger lock that allows you to keep a handgun loaded and locked costs like 20 bucks. You insert the key and it falls off. Period. I have one here somewhere, made by Master Lock.

I'm a firm believer in following the law, which mandates I have to keep my guns locked up. But any so-called "smart gun" technology currently available isn't anywhere near as reliable as a safe.

And let's say this ugly whore had bought two smart guns. All she'd have to do is give the shooter her ring or bracelet that synchs up to the gun. Duh. Palm print technology for guns is fantasy. I like the idea but it just isn't feasible.

I keep a loaded handgun right in front of my keyboard. All I gotta do is pick it up, point and shoot.

Now, just so everybody knows - I'm not criticizing Ford or anybody else for suggesting any technologies or options to keep guns secure. I'm all for that. Hell, I don't want anybody stealing my guns. But I could cut that finger print gun lock off in less than 20 seconds, if that long. My point is you can buy a trigger lock or breech lock for next to nothing. And most guns come with them for free.

                            Bottom line:

                            Secure your weapons.

Don't be a cunt and illegally transfer a weapon.

Require a pistol purchase permit in EVERY state. And let the states regulate it.

                            God bless America!!!
