I might write Mueller and give him some more ideas. How about Donald Trump giving Ron Jeremy a blowjob? Trump likes tall things. He's a hornball over his own daughter. How about an incest scandal? The porn star narrative just isn't juicy enough.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

It's not the porn star narrative not being juicy enough. It's not even that Trump paid Daniels off and asked her to sign a non disclosure agreement. I don't think anybody is surprised in the least that either of those two things happened considering Trump's character.

It's how Daniels was paid off. Like everything else, with Trump it comes down to HOW he has made his money and moved it around.

I don't even think Trump knows - or ever knew - all the specifics of his cash flow after he went bust in Atlantic City in the mid-1990s, the same as I don't think Trump knew all of the specifics regarding the activities of various campaign associates and various Russian intelligence officials in 2016. I DO think Trump is shitting a brick in terms of wondering what Mueller's investigation might find out about these things.

In simple terms no reputable bank has been willing to lend the Trump organization for years now due to past misdemeanors. With no access to bank credit a developer is fucked. To get around this for a while now they have been going to various dodgy investors many of whom are Russian who were looking to put their assets (or launder depending on how you look at it), into solid real estate. The three people working on these deals has been Ivanka, Krushner and Michael Cohen.

Cohen is a businessman with a law degree, he's not a day to day lawyer. Nitro is way off the mark with this client privilege stuff. Also do you not think that before granting this warrant, a dozen or more people looked at it including a judge? Of course it's not illegal.

The suspicion is that Cohen has only been named as Trumps lawyer as a way to give him attorney client privilege as he is the one guy not in the family who knows where all the bodies are buried.

The election NEVER had anything to do with the Russians, and it's only the idiotic Hillbots making that claim as an excuse for her loss. Actually Jared Kushner isn't in bed with the Russians he's in bed with the Chinese who basically own his ass. One reason he shouldn't be in the White House at all. The Chinese hold the debt on 666 5th Avenue and Kushner comes from a very corrupt family out of New Jersey. There definitely is a lot of voting fraud and it's something all political parties need to get serious about or it's going to threaten the democratic voting process. The one person who clearly got screwed was Bernie Sanders. The Democratic Party needs to get rid of the super delegates because that only nullifies the people's vote and allows the Democrat Party leadership to put in who they want. Trump got 18% of the Bernie voters when Hillary stole the nomination. So there are all sorts of problems and both major parties have their fair share of corruption. Maybe we should just screw voting and have a lottery pick the president. Haha! Just have a random sample pick a name from the Social Security data base. It couldn't be any worse than it is now.

What we have here is musical investigations. Couldn't nail Trump on the original investigation and now it's a porn star. What next if they can't nail him on the porn star narrative? How much tax money is this investigation wasting? Trump might finish both terms and this thing will still be going on. You can quote all the mumbo jumbo you want but it's obvious what Mueller is going. He's fishing. He's got his net out hoping to catch something. Maybe he should be investigating the uranium one scandal. He would catch a lot there including himself.

My hell. John F. Kennedy probably had more dirt on him than Trump does. This is just partisan bullshit and I doubt it's going to get Trump out of office. If Trump was the scalawag his political enemies are making him out to be he never would have bothered to run for office. That makes you a target. He would have just stayed out of politics and enjoyed the good life.

No the real problem is there is an outsider in the White House. That has all the crooks in Washington scared because they don't know what's going to happen. They can't control it. Believe me if Jeb Bush was in the White House you would have the partisan verbal slagging but everyone would be cool with it. Nobody is going to jail with a Bush in office. It's all about who's inside and who's outside and Democrat and Republican means nothing. Maybe that's why the Dems dumped Bernie. He might be a socialist but maybe he was more independent than they cared for. I don't care if it's a liberal or a conservative you put an outsider independent in the White House and the establishment will do anything it can to get rid of them. The reason why is so nobody goes to jail and they can continue to be the criminals they are.

How about you just accept that he's a completely corrupt asshole that is borderline mafia and he is bringing this on himself for being a scofflaw and liar? Maybe it's not the FBI's fault they investigate corruption. You keep making these assertions that the search and seizure was illegal. How was it illegal when Trump's own Justice dept. and a federal judge signed off on it? ANd raiding Cohen because he's a slimy, corrupt douche that would make Saul blush has nothing to do with "attorney-client privileged".

If Trump is an honest businessman and has nothing to hide, WTF are Trump-finger-fuck puppets like Hannity all upset over this?..

I don't like it, therefore it's illegal the cop stopped me for speeding!

Maybe, but he's not president anymore. He had a history of womanizing, but does that make him worse than Trump? I've read about JFK. The biggest thing on him was the fact he was heavily medicated on opiods due to his Addison's disease and degenerative spine. Whether the press would have started digging on him in his second term is debatable but I think it was likely...

                            From: The Washington Post

Trump’s allies worry that federal investigators may have seized recordings made by his attorney

By Ashley Parker, Carol D. Leonnig, Josh Dawsey and Tom Hamburger April 13 at 9:25 AM

President Trump’s personal attorney Michael D. Cohen sometimes taped conversations with associates, according to three people familiar with his practice, and allies of the president are worried that the recordings were seized by federal investigators in a raid of Cohen’s office and residences this week.

Cohen, who served for a decade as a lawyer at the Trump Organization and is a close confidant of Trump’s, was known to store the conversations using digital files and then replay them for colleagues, according to people who have interacted with him.

“We heard he had some proclivity to make tapes,” said one Trump adviser, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation. “Now we are wondering, who did he tape? Did he store those someplace where they were actually seized? . . . Did they find his recordings?”

Cohen did not respond to requests for comment. Stephen Ryan, an attorney for Cohen, declined to comment. A White House spokeswoman referred a request for comment to Cohen and his attorney.

On Monday, FBI agents seized Cohen’s computers and phones as they executed a search warrant that sought, among other records, all communications between the lawyer and Trump and campaign aides about “potential sources of negative publicity” in the lead-up to the 2016 election, The Washington Post reported.
Michael D. Cohen, President Trump’s personal attorney, reportedly was known for occasionally recording calls with associates.

Investigators were also looking for any records related to adult-film star Stormy Daniels and ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal, who both received payments after alleged affairs with Trump.

In New York, a hearing was scheduled Friday over Cohen’s efforts to prevent the government from using material seized in the raids.

[Federal probe into Trump’s lawyer seeks records about two women who alleged affairs with the president]

It is unknown whether Cohen taped conversations between himself and Trump. But two people familiar with Cohen’s practices said he recorded both business and political conversations. One associate said Trump knew of Cohen’s practice because the attorney would often play him recordings Cohen had made of his conversations with other top Trump advisers.

“It was his standard practice to do it,” this person said.

Legal experts said Cohen’s taped conversations would be viewed by prosecutors as highly valuable.

“If you are looking for evidence, you can’t do any better than people talking on tape,” said Nick Akerman, a former Watergate prosecutor.

Such recordings “would be considered a gold mine,” said Stephen Gillers, a law professor at New York University who specializes in legal ethics.

“The significance is 9.5 to 10 on a 10-point scale,” he added, noting that investigators know “that when people speak on the phone, they are not guarded. They don’t imagine that the conversation will surface.”

Federal investigators would not automatically get access to any tapes that might have been seized in the raids. First, the recordings would be reviewed by a separate Justice Department team and possibly by a federal judge. The review is designed to protect lawyer-client privilege and to be sure that the conversations turned over are within the terms of the search warrant, legal experts said.

They noted that the privilege accorded to attorney-client communications does not apply if the conversation was conducted to further commission of a crime or fraud.

Cohen wanted his business calls on tape so he could use them later as leverage, one person said. He frequently noted that under New York law, only one party had to consent to the taping of a conversation, this person added.

During the 2016 race, Cohen — who did not have a formal role on the campaign — had a reputation among campaign staff as someone to avoid, in part because he was believed to be secretly taping conversations.

In one instance, Cohen played a recording of a conversation he had with someone else to a Trump campaign official to demonstrate that he was in a position to challenge that person’s veracity if necessary, an associate recalled.

Cohen indicated that he had something to use against the person he had taped, the associate said.

One outside Trump adviser said Cohen may have begun recording his conversations in an attempt to emulate his boss, who has long boasted — often with no evidence — about secretly taping private conversations.

In May, for instance, a report appeared in the New York Times detailing fired FBI director James B. Comey’s account of a one-on-one dinner he had with the president, during which he said Trump asked him to pledge his loyalty to the president and he declined. Shortly after, Trump took to Twitter to cast doubt on Comey’s version of events, seeming to imply that he had secretly recorded their encounter.

“James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” Trump wrote.

At the time, it was unclear whether Trump truly possessed tapes of his conversation with Comey or was simply trying to intimidate him. And ultimately, just over a month later, Trump cleared up the mystery by admitting in a duo of tweets that he had not, in fact, recorded Comey.

“With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea whether there are ‘tapes’ or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings,” he wrote.

Tim O’Brien, a Trump biographer and executive editor of Bloomberg View, wrote a column in the wake of Trump’s taping claim saying that Comey probably had little reason to worry. In the piece, O’Brien recounted that Trump frequently made a similar boast to him.

“Back in the early 2000s, Trump used to tell me all the time that he was recording me when I covered him as reporter for the New York Times,” O’Brien wrote. “He also said the same thing when I was writing a biography of him, ‘Trump Nation.’ I never thought he was, but who could be sure?”

But after Trump sued him for libel shortly after his biography came out, O’Brien’s lawyers deposed Trump in December 2007 — during which Trump admitted he had not, in fact, clandestinely taped O’Brien.

“I’m not equipped to tape-record,” Trump said in the deposition. “I may have said it once or twice to him just to — on the telephone, because everything I said to him he’d write incorrectly; so just to try and keep it honest.”

Robert Costa contributed to this report.
