I registered for the draft when I was 18, even though Jellybean Head Reagan and the BCE were in the White House and (as we saw in Grenada) they would abuse the military for bullshit which had NOTHING to do with America. My standard, as a draft age American, was if there were a legitimate threat to America, as there was in World War II, then I would sign up, but that I would NOT be a part of any wars in the name of corporate greed or imperialism. And even though I was pretty much past the prime drafting age by the time Clinton was innaugurated, the same standards applied.

Bottom line is that the US military hasn't been used to defend the United States since World War II, and its about goddamn time people woke up to that fact. That's not disrespecting the guys in the uniform, because they aren't the ones making the fucked up policies. Even the Pentagon generals opposed the Iraq invasion.

But it's something the American people must demand. And if you believe terrorism is a serious threat to this country, then they must demand it even more so. Fuck the neocons, Fuck Likud zionists, and fuck the corporate pigs. Osama can kill every last one of them and the world will be better off. Let's talk about securing America. And doing so without raping the constitution.
