Not really, there are seriously different levels of Christianity. there are those who actually try to live by the scripture, and those who take it to extremes and think they are so holy that they are immune from judgement.
That means that they (he) judges everyone and has a "I am above you" complex.
My Mother is one of the extremist Christians, she questions and judges everything to be bad when it comes to me.
When we spend any amount of time together she tries to tell me about everything i do wrong when she has not one clue as to what she is talking about.
And when i rebuttle, it's because the spirit of satan has taken me over, lol.
The problem is, I am more in touch with the scriptur than she is, and if i quote it to her and question her, that starts an argument.
Just last week she approached me and started to tell me that the Lord told her that there are things i need to change in my life, but had no specifics.
I said that when God figures out the details, to have him call me, lol.
She got angry and i pretty much told her to keep her thoughts to herself because she cannot debate the bible since she hasn't read it.
All she can do is critisize and judge people before having any facts.
She is now 70 years old, so i don't hold it against her, fact is that she is just a tad looney, but she's Mom, and i love and respect her for that.
