The bottom line is that these guys failed in a job they were sworn to do. If there were problems with their gear and whatnot, there are other ways to deal with the issues. The failure to help your fellow solider, risking your life, which is what he does for you, is unacceptable. It is a basic principle of our armed forces "nobody goes home unless we all go home". These guys didn't get the memo.
