High E string slipping on EBMM

    High E string slipping on EBMM

    Anybody ever have their high E string slip and get hung up on the neck of an EBMM Axis while playing? I have had the guitar for a year now, but this just started happening. Appreciate any tips.

          Just jammin a bit and I thought I had broken the high E string. Upon further review, the string got hung up on the side of the neck. I gave it some slack/retuned and it was good for a few weeks until it happened again.

              I'm guessing it doesn't have a locking nut ??

              I'm guessing because you didn't give me specific details...

                  Born on date: March 2004
                  Double Locking Licensed Floyd trem
                  Birdseye Maple Neck
                  Honeyburst Flametop
                  Strings: EB super slinky 9s

                      So, it does have a locking nut...

                      Hmmm...

                      Slightly loosen the neck retaining screws (SLIGHTLY) and move the neck in the neck pocket so there is a little more distance from the high E string and the edge of the fretboard...
