    Congrats !

Even the modern day Marshalls sound great.
In my humble opinion, you cant go wrong with
a Marshall. There will be a bunch of people that
will tell you otherwise, but I even enjoy the tone
of the non-tube Marshalls.. Of course I lean
towards the older ones, but with all this amp
modelling technology these days, those solid
state Marshalls sound pretty damn good.

I bet that setup sounds killer !

      As for PandaBoy's comments...
How many Soldano's do you see being used
by live Rock acts around the world. Almost
every Rock band you see has at least one
      Marshall somewhere in the setup...

Soldano's are a copycat of Marshall.
      Imitation is the biggest endorsement
one amplification company could give another.

Look at all the Amp modellers out there,
Marshall presets are the fucking default !!!

The only Soldano that I'VE ever seen used was a video of George Lynch recording Wicked Sensation in 1991

Clapton was using Soldanos for a while, but during the Cream reunion he was using '57 Fender Twins.

I'm trying to figure out the whole "this is 2006, not 1966" statement. If dickhead knew his ass from a hole in the ground he would know that Soldanos are based on Marshalls. This is common knowledge for chrissakes. Plus when it comes to tube technology there is nothing new under the sun. Oh sure you can add an effects loop and channel switching, but other than that it is the same old thing.

Here's the thing with guitar amps...you either want a Fender, Vox, or a Marshall type sound. All others amps are just take offs of those....some are good, some are bad, but this is a fact. Heck, even Marshalls are borrowed designs. A JTM45 and a '59 Fender Bassman are the SAME amp, except that one is built with American parts and the other is all British. The big difference in tone is because of the JTM 45 using a closed back 4x12 cab with Celestion speakers, instead of an open back cab with Jensens.

Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Pretty sure Ed used a Soldano on most of FUCK. He wasn't using 5150's in the studio then.

Well, there´s Mesa Boogie if you want power chords that sound like undefinable mush. And there´s Engl if you happen to need treble tones to split someone´s eardrums, but otherwise you´re absolutely right!
