New Gibson les paul BFG should i buy it and sell my smartwood?? watcha think

Just saw the new Gibson les paul bfg and im in a quandry. The new gibbo is totally unfinished no truss cover unfinished unsanded body but a funky set of pickups and a kill switch:

anyhoo ive got a gibson les paul studio smartwood and im thinkin of floggin it and buyin the BFG .

watcha think The bfg retails at £799 is it just a gibson ploy to lower there standards i.e. finish lack of parts

799 Pounds will get you any one of a killer choice of Edwards, Tokais, Burnys, or for less money, used Grecos or Orvilles from Japan. That´s including shipping and customs. DON`T fall for that Gibson POS!

i totally agree its the name thats the attraction. I got my les paul smartwood and it looks great but it is terrible for staying in tune. You would expect for a £900+ guitar the least it could do is stay in tune for more than 5 minutes

The gold one looks nice, and the pickups are killer.

At that price...the world's your stage though!

Interesting. Not a bad guitar. For 5 grand you can get one like mine.

I would wait and get something higher end if you are going to get a Les Paul. I like Diamondjimi's or get a Gold top.. 56 or 57 Reissue depending on your taste..
