Are you guys using the top speakers in your stacks?
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

Actually, I have 2 speakers running, but just for my stage sound. I have two Hughes & Kettner Red Box Pros (guitar DI boxes) hooked between my power amp and the speakers. They have an excellent cab simulation and I don´t have to worry about some clumsy idiot moving the mics in front of the cabs.

I used to use a full stack because I would do Hendrix type shit with the feedback and you can't get that with a half stack unless you get down in front of it like Ted Nugent does these days.

It's just fucking murder on your hearing!

The dudes like Pete Townsend who wanted that full on blast paid for it, the smart ones played the lower cabs and left ther rest on stage for visual effect.

Direct out to the mixer and having the PA infront of you is the best of all. Blast the fucking audience with a wall of sound while you listen to monitors catered to your needs. LOL!
