Anyone catch him using it live on the 1984 tour? I saw two shows on that tour and he never whipped out his little stand thingy.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

I saw that show in Toronto. He did use the flip thing. Unlike the one in the picture (acrylic) . The one I saw was made from wood. I was impressed with the technique , what he played was pretty cool. You can hear him using it on some bootlegs from the tour.
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!

I remember him mentioning getting a patent for this thing years ago. Never did market it though....probably because no one would buy it. :D The D-Tuna was a much better idea.

I use the D-Tuna all the time. That was really a great idea. They have down tuning devices on the peghead but they never seemed to work that great. The D-Tuna is very accurate and simple. Not much to go wrong with it.

I wanna try a D-Tuna but my main guitar has a fully-floating recessed Floyd...I hear they don't like those...unless you use a tremsetter (have a couple of those laying about someone gave me, but have yet to install one...)

I also saw Ed use the flip-top thing on the 1984 tour...cool idea, not very marketable though...

The D-Tuna is awesome, and no they don't work so well on a floating bridge.
