Frankenstrat headstock: Strat or banana?

I'm going to begin another Frankenstrat. Just curious, do most of you prefer it with a strat headstock or the kramer banana headstock? I've always liked the kramer style, but now am thinking I want to make one with a strat headstock. Here is a Kramer 5150 and Frankenstrat I've made. I sold the Frankenstrat a couple years ago to satisfy some G.A.S. I had, now I need another.

Yup...that Strat is the CLASSIC headstock....

its gotta be the beak headstock thats in the jump video...for me anyway. I had an evh style bumblebee guitar that i bought on ebay from carraguitar. what a piece of shit that turned out to be with its kramer plywood stryker body, kid on floyd rose and cheap assy shitty neck, and talk about the paint job a kid couldve done a better job.

I prefer the Strat headstock - it's what I've got on my Frankie. That said the Classic Kramer Headstock on the neck Ed used circa Diver Down isn't bad either.

I was leaning toward the strat headstock, looks like you guys put me over the edge. Strat it is. After I'm done with this one, I'm going to make the black and white strat, but I'm going to put a reversed strat headstock on it. Change it up a bit.

You get a straighter pull on the strings with a Strat styled headstock. Even with the locking nut, the hockey stick peg head pulls the strings through the nut slots at a side angle. It opens the doors to less sustain and possible tuning problems.

If you doing the original Frankie, the one with the fucked up rout showing, go with a Strat headstock.

If you doing the 5150 Kramer, do the banana. Keep it true.
