Ed inspired me to pick up the guitar but other than a general business in my playing there's not a lot of his evident in my playing. Same goes for The Edge and Andy Summers - I don't sound like them but I wish I could.
Steve Jones was a big inspiration especially when I first started trying to play.
Porl Thompson and Robert Smith are plenty evident in my playing.
Love the way Lou Reed plays.
Scotty Moore always meant a lot to me.
Stole liberally from Chris Isaak and Hershel Yatovitz.
Those would be the big components of my style. I've got little flavors from loads of other people from Maiden to Johnny Ramone, Peter Buck, Jonny Greenwood, Springsteen, Dylan. It all comes together in the end.Comment
