I didn't like how the Wolfgang guitars looked but I played one and had to have one. I still play that guitar a ton.

The Wolfgang is like mixing a Les Paul and a Strat and hotrodding them. The bridge pickup will give you the tone you hear on many Van Halen albums. The neck pickup sounds buttery. Play both pickups and you are in Les Paul territory.

The wolfie will do everything except for single coil Strat type tones.

I own two, a tobacco burst quilt top and a blue flame but did not like the neck pickups. They put out distortion even on the cleanest of settings. I replaced them with Texas specials. The guitar plays fabulously. I saw one in a local store right when they first came out and it played like it was made for me. It was my main instrument for 8 years. Now they decorate my walls at home and I take'em out to gigs occassionally. Great guitars!

              Yo Eyes...

Have you ever driven a lamborgini n' shit ??

Because, first of all, it's lamborghini...

Anyway, I've never had one of those guitars of my own, but my expert opinion says (and I have handled them and set one up) think Les paul with a Floyd...

Not my cup of tea, but nice...

I know Ed wanted a cross between the weight and feel of a Tele and tone of a les paul. A lot of people like them. they are a quality instrument. Personally I do not like them, that is just me. I think the neck feels thin and awkward. I believe it is slightly asymetrical on the back side. That's probably why. I feel the pickups are too weak for me too, I'm a big fan of hotter pickups. I absolutely hate the headstock. It is so tiny. You get tone and sustain from a bigger headstock. I feel like a giant when I played one, it is weird to look over and not really see a headstock. You'll have to determine if it is for you, but they are well made just not my cup of tea.

The Wolfgangs doe have an asymetrical neck and a compound radious fingerboard. The necks have a maple cap instead of a skunk stripe so that gives the guitars a unique tone. The necks are also graphite reinforced so they don't warp.

I don't like the headstock either or the body shape. I think the whole guitar has a cheesey wedge shape to it. They are just fat looking and ugly.

I like the way they play and if you bang them up enough and scratch and burn them, they look better. LOL!

great guitar. i own a quilt top one and its my main "axe". fender jag being my second. and yeah it does give clean settings a tad distorted sound, and that is where the jag comes to play.

Both the Wolfgang and the MusicMan EVH guitars remind me way too much of the Van Hagar era. I'd much rather get something with more of a CVH vibe: Strat body, humbucker, Floyd...
