I agree...the Bassman sounds way better. Hmm...that could be a way to get a couple more rhythm sounds out of my Boogie. Unless of course it sounded like shit in front of an amp's clean channel...
And yeah, the tremolo model on my Line 6 MM-4 smokes that one...

I pluged into one at Guitar Center going into a Hot Rod Deluxe (of which I have three) and I thought it sounded authentic making the Deluxe break up much better than any stock tone you can get out of it...
