I remember listening to his Dixie Dregs stuff about 20 plus years ago and he was a talented motherfucker. Then I heard he joined fucking Kansas...

I've never heard from him since.

Speaking of Deep Purple, what does Blackmore do nowadays if Morse is in them? What about Gillian? I've never understood all of that Rainbow/Deep Purple shit anyway? lol

Last I heard Blackmore was doing this traditional Celtic acoustic thing with his young(er) hottie girlfriend. It's called Blackmore's Night.

When I saw Morse and Purple, it WAS with Gillian...they opened with "Highway Star", and the dude walks out and NAILS the high note at the beginning, unreal! It was a great show....

I've seen Morse 11 times with Purple and 3 times solo. Kills every time. Deep Purple are in my top 5 all time favs. Love the Blackmore era and his contribution to the legacy ,but the guys's a primadonna who (in latter years) carried a lot of contempt and bad vibes to the band and it showed.
In the end I was kinda glad to see him go.

My main squeeze is a well worn Musicman Axis. Something about Musicman guitars quality wise I really dig and they sound wonderful. The more you use them the better they get. Eight refrets! Holy shit! No wonder the dude is awsome.

What a legend in his own mind. His ego got so big nobody could stand him but himself. He now says rock and roll is below him and he's found real music in playing the lute. What an arrogant fuck. I had proffessors like him in college. They never could fit in with society so they just stayed in school, got a PHD and can be GOD in their little classroom. The world is full of such fucks!

Dude , ya nailed it right there.

Ritchie was a huge part of what made them great but began to suck the spirit out of DP when he stopped giving a shit.

If playing minstrels in church basements turns his crank ,more power to him. If he resurects Rainbow even better....
