I would think most wah users are into the classic dunlop or even morley wahs. What new can evh bring to the table? I used to have the vai wah, but it sucked the tone out. No hardwire bypass. Ease was cool, just step and go, no switch. Now I use the zakk wylde wah. Similar to the dunlop hendrix wah, but has more guts.

Ed really needs to lay off that stuff. I do like the way it sounds though, everthing Ed does sounds good to me. But I think the Wah and the Sustainer really detracts from the Brownsound.Comment

I wish Eddie would have done the EVH brand thing in the 1980's. How cool would that have been? I hated his Kramer endorsement because he never played the guitars Kramer made.
Why not an EVH model with the right setup and pickups?
I'm pretty happy with my EVH phase 90 and flanger. The amps he endorses seem to be good quality but the price on the 5150 III is too much for what it is.
There's two products I would love to see Eddie market. An EVH Floyd Rose that is as good quality as the original ones with the D-Tuner incorporated on it and a EL-84 powered low voltage amps voiced to get Ed's classic sound from the 70's and 80's. Both of those would be cool products.
Ed always played his endoresed brands. And he even put the Kramer neck on Frankie. Then starting with 1984 played Kramer exclusively.
Watch the US Festival and you will even see a double neck Kramer.
But you are right, about his equipment.
