    Check out this Les Paul

I was browsing Wildwoodguitars.com and noticed this

I have never seen a LES PAUL that looks like that.

    Look at the headstock!

I don't hate it... or like it!
    It's just unusual!

    Nice inlays...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

The only thing I dont like are the double-dots position markers. They could have used small diamonds, hearts or something else.

Dots are associated with lesser guitars. The top on these late 90's guitars are in homage to the greats of the 50's and I would fully expect these flametops to go away in 2011.

Guitar Center price on LP Standard flametops are around $2800 and if they stop making them for whatever reason, you'll all be weeping you didnt get one when you could. The price will quadruple.

Only thing about a guitar like this is you can't play it out anywhere. Geezus, you'd be scared to death that the fuckstick with the beer bottle over by the monitors decides to lob it at you. Or the sloppy drunk whore, who gets onstage and wants to wear your hat, would spill her fruity mixed drink all over it. I love Les Pauls, but this is something that is made for collectors, not players.

I think that's the LP "Florentine."

This is the only Paul I wanna see at NAMM

              I would like a dark fire V.

I like the carbon fiber small-block inlays, they're like Schenker's V from the Medallion V run of the mid 70s. I would have fun with this thing for ages.

I am no fan of single-color stain finishes either, Elvis.

I like the classic colors and sunbursts on a Paul, period, or it's an oddball to me.

                          I think it looks ok.

It's gone on sale here for £2000 which is only $3000 these days.

That sounds kinda low priced for a custom shop Gibson...
