Here's a rare color - especially in a double bound - INCA SILVER !!
when Inca ages, it often turns from Silver to a gold / green. Different light makes it appear as almost different colors. Sometimes a weird metallic Olive Green - sometimes gold-ish - sometimes just silver.. pretty interesting
SOLD
specs:
* lightweight swamp ash ( total weight is 6 lbs 6 oz )
* aged binding
* uber thin Inca Silver lacquer finish
* Medium C neck / 10" radius / "vintage tall" frets
* Custom wound Voodoo pickups
* 1/4" cold rolled steel saddles ( compensated )
* CTS pots / cloth wire / paper n oil cap
I like the Inca Silver.
It looks green.. like my Aged Pelham Blue Les Paul Custom.
I am a sucker for Tele's..
That's the color of my 1980 Musicman, the scalloped one so naturally I'm partial to it.
I also dig double-bound tele's in a big way that fell on deaf ears with reps of various manufacturers I'd talked to over the years..
There's a few minor things I see about it I don't like but outweighed by things I do like such as the weight, bridge and tuners, the grain of the neck, shape and radius of the neck.. my biggest concern is the setup.
You can't really tell from the photo but from what I see I'd have a new nut made with the big E nearly 1/16" inch from the edge of the fret top, and justifying the additional space to the high E from the other edge.
That's about it. I like the binding isn't lacquered over, that's period correct for an early 60's.. I like staggered pole pickups, this has it..
Kinda looks like Shoreline Gold, one of my favourite colors (also a color Fender can't even accurately identify) but I'm definately partial to guitars with a cleaner appearance...
The one thing I've yet to have from a relic'd guitfiddle is the "smell".
You pull a 76 Les Paul Deluxe from the case.. the smell.
You pull a 68 Stratocaster, 72 Pbass.. the smell.
The VAINGLORIOUS smell of vintage lacquer breaking wind on my beak when I pop them case latches - ahhh. That's viagra for my fingers. Oh and I also get a stiff dick. Make no mistake, there is sexual mysogyny going on here when I'd rather pay attention to 6 strings then hear about taking out the trash, I left the seat up or some other bullSHIT.
She'll be gone, but I'll still have my friends! Hehehheeee~!!!
