But seriously, if I were the artist, I'd be really pissed that this guy is copying it and you're walking around with it on your guitar. Pissed off. And I just like the idea, I guess. "People... people who sue people..."

If it were a production run, I'd be more inclined to agree with you. And it's not like he's someone out there offering Frankie replicas for sale. Most of the KISS ones are from photos, so how does that factor in?

It wouldn't even bother me if he were doing the Frankie stripes. But I consider the fair warning cover to be actual art. As opposed to just some striped dogshit.

I too consider it art, which is exactly why I want one.

But I think you'd have to get in line behind all the people suing Michelangelo, Looney Tunes, Dr. Seuss and everything else anyone's ever put on a guitar...

This is a specific work, not just some random character...so it's not the same. And copyright doesn't apply to Michaelangelo, or possibly Bugs Bunny. Not sure about Seuss, but I hate that shit anyways.

Wonder how the Fair Warning bad boy sounds... It'd be a shame if it sounded AMAZING, because that's one of those guitars you dare wouldn't play just to preserve the art.
