    Mini Wall of Doom

Not my main rig by any means, but a lot of fun none the less. I had the ZW mini stack I picked up last year. I was always nostalgic for my old Lead 12 mini stack from back in the day, so I picked one up recently on ebay with two heads. Sounds killer for practice. Nice wall of sound. I run my Boss Chorus Ensemble to run them together. I may look at slaving the Lead 12 into the ZW. Dig..

    This space for rent.

I took the original ministack seriously after I saw Yngwie pictured with it in a mid80s Guitar World interview, so the next time I saw him I go "dude - the ministack? what were you thinking?" he says well, it has a good sound at low volumes, and its just a practice amp they gave me.

That's when I learned to listen first to a transistor amp because not all solid states sound bad.

Marshall's mosfet amps are surprisingly warm sounding with a decent tone. I had a 50watt JCM800 reverb solid state, they are cheap and very easy to work on to replace parts like pots jacks and switches. Really good buy.

I've had a go at the Jeffrey Weildant (I mean Zakk Wylde) mini stack. Great practice amp...

He seems more like the Santa Monica Blvd sailor-type, don't you think?

I sold it of course, but I didn't take them seriously until I owned and fooled with it.

They have a great sound, and they're cheaper than tube.
