How to "Relic" a guitar...

Stumbled on a deal on a Ludwig Accent Combo kit, totally an entry level drum set, on craigslist. Has a wine finish wrap on it. Looks ok but after reading about doing relics on guitars, I'm thinking about retro'ing it out. Stay tuned for further developements........

Not sure if I'll strip it and go natural or try to recreate a Buddy Rich kit............Forget the fact, according to Clay, that buddy never played anything but Slingerland because if you see my posts in the "For The Drummers out there", thread you know he played Ludwig's, too.

Advice for relic-ing a guitar - The Gear Page

Trying to find a thread I've seen with pics of a guy doing finish-checking by taking a body from an oven to a freezer and back, turns out pretty cool...not finding it at the moment, though...

I once shoved a 6.99 can of R134 auto air conditioning refrigerant down my urethra, and watched with great glee how the veins all crackled and peeled off after I jabbed the nozzle, like we see here in some of these finer examples.
