    Xotic BB Preamp

    I am using an OCD and box of rock for my overdrive/Distortion needs






    Has anyone played one of these? I am looking for smooth overdrive for blues and rock, not grainy modern distortion.

      Interesting. I too am looking for a cool overdrive to use in front of the mid-gain channel on my Boogie to give it a little more oomph.

          If you want subtle boosts with more rounded distortion in a non-tube pedal try a silicon-germanium transistor based treble booster, or a very basic MOSFET-based preamp.
