The top on mine isn't just flame it has some deep burls to it, as well as long grain lines that run perpendicular to the neck which are more visible depending on the angle that you're view it...

The default terms for "sunbursts" and "goldtops" are Les Pauls and their copies.

I guess you dont' know enough about the features of your guitar to tell us which R you think it is?

Aren't you on that corksniffer board and read about that? They have alot of comparative posts on Gibson pickups, but way too much info about what and which R versions are which.

Do us a favor and post a "whats mine" thread over there and let em tell you so you can continue about your thing there. If that's really yours.
