OR hide their lack of experience with "okay time to take a break and smoke some dube" for half a fucking hour, talking all sorts of shit about bands they like and what things are so marvelous about them while I'm waiting impatiently to tell them to remove their equipment.. thank GOD the Hair Band Era is dead as a doornail.

Look good, walk in with a good bass, talk some talk but can't play and I can't hear them - yeah, that was a waste many times in my early days and helped make me the asshole I am today.

I'm struggling to think of who else Metallica might have hired - not many metal bassists spring to mind as being superior to Robert. Maybe Mike Inez is equally as versatile, but I'm struggling....
