Isn't there supposed to be a 1971 quarter stuck on that Frankie?

      SERIOUS POINT on this crap.

If you check your link it says 'High Quality Handcrafted Miniature Guitar with Amazing Finishing Work and attention to Detail. This collection of miniature replica guitars are very detail exactly with a real guitar. Created by talented and experienced craftsmen in the field of musical instruments.'

They are $20 each for fuck sake!!??? How could talented and experienced craftsmen make these things by hand, ship them across the world and still make a profit???

      Look further down

      Ships from Indonesia

      Please don't buy this stuff...

The guy at the store at the mall, he says that he makes them by hand. Now, he could be fibbing, but the workmanship is superb. I'll take it with a grain of salt though.

You're right to take that with a grain of salt.

The chefcraig link is the one where it specifically says they are from Indonesia and they look the same and are about the same size and price as the other ones.

How could the guy at the mall possibly turn a profit making them himself? Remember he has all his overheads too. To earn minimum wage he would have to make one every 20 minutes or something. It would take longer than that to paint one.

Hey we all buy stuff from China but this seems to be a whole new level plus it's not exactly an essential.

You have to love what that link says about the "materials" used in the creation of these turds, near the bottom of the page:

              waste wood
              recycled plastic
              other environmentally friendly materials

Even stranger, these materials are in fact links, which bring you to yet another page full of these insipid "guitar" products. Here is the LINK once again.

Notice how the stripes only cover the top surface of the instrument, and fail to wrap around the guitar. Doesn't this wreak of quality craftsmanship to you?

I'll take a picture of mine in a little bit... The attention to the detail level is very high

Anyone complaining about the craftsmanship on these replicas....Have you seen the original? What a hacked up, jury-rigged piece of crap that thing is. Any guitar tech that's ever gotten close to it says the way it's wired up there is absolutely no way it should play. That Eddie hasn't shocked himself to death is amazing. And the only thing still holding the beast together is probably tar buildup from all the cigarette smoke.

                  Yet we love it.
