New stuff put down this afternoon... just goofing around, the riff had been stuck in my head, but it's too happy sounding for my tastes. I happened to find a beat in EZdrummer's "Twisted" kit that worked with it, however - so I figured why not. Gave it a goofy title, found an appropriate cover image, and pow. Happy demon riff exorcised.

Yeah, that would've been another cool thing to throw in. Dude's resume is looooong. And who could forget "Fish Heads"? Cool guy, sent me a thank you email yesterday. Next interview subject's interesting too, but can't talk about that yet.
I've been busy doing some uncharacteristic weeknight Pro Tools tracking, got the rhythms down for another one of the few tunes I lost when the HD crashed a while back. Recreated the basic (almost) dirt track and then layered two more, one mono one stereo, and did the same with the clean track. No leads yet. I hate the place-keeper drums, but you get the idea. The beauty of EZdrummer is you're not stuck with the beat... or the kit, for that matter. Can't wait to put bass on these...
