it's a classic; big slab of mahogany but with this maple top that's in places 5/8" thick.

the neck is a study in how many pieces of AAA+ birdseye maple can you incorporate into a guitar.

and a slick fretboard.

Well, yes. Those are just as much "works of art" as they are guitars.

I'm trying to walk the line with "supremely cool-looking yet still functional"... I want them to be like the Bomber, cool but not so "arty" you don't want to pick it up....

That I couldn't tell you unfortunately, because I really don't follow Ibanez pricing...sorry. Btw, you know FU makes Big-Blocks for Edge Trems now, yes?
