Disagree. Tweaking the sounds is part of mixing, and something any decent producer is going to do - so there's no shame in learning how to be better at it. If you only have the option of re-recording it from scratch, you may not play the track as well as you did the first time. Not to mention it's time-consuming and kinda counter-productive. You're sounding less like a purist and more like you have a digital recording phobia, though. It's not the enemy.

They're all way too buzzy and noisy...

It all sounds digital to me...

The only time you've had anything close to decent tone is where you reviewed a single coil, or a stacked single coil...

You're entitled to your opinion, but several dozen comments to the commentary (including from the maker of said software) beg to differ. But you just admitted YOU DON'T KNOW which is which.


Also, there are ways to filer out the "fizz" associated with emulated sounds that makes them sound more realistic. REAL amps are noisy, why would you expect an emulation not to be? That's what they make noise reduction for, in both cases...
