Wow that sounds great! I have a Strat with some great sounding single coils but there's been a few times I just couldn't use it from hum coming from neon signs and lights.

My best single coils are the Bill Lawrence ones in the Kramer; just the best drivey turbo strat sound. Most people dial in way to much gain... You lose the character and nuances. Listen to the classic tones of Angus Eddie Jimi etc.. It's not that gainy. It's power tubes pushing big volts.
