It's been a while, but I picked up one of these awesome 87 Kramer Classic III's... it's so fucking sweet!

The problem is the used market is saturated with guitars. Just browse Ebay for LesPauls and there are at least 3000 of them alone.Comment

I wouldn't want to buy a Les Paul straight off the internet with all their quality control issues over the years.Comment
-
I noticed all those Les Pauls on eBay aren't really getting sold, either. The used market is so saturated, yet for some reason the prices don't come down.Comment

Cracked and bought a guitar yesterday for the first time in a couple of years.

Was Raspberry Beret added to the setlist?
I haven't even looked for anything lately. I bought a Boss Katana amp a couple months ago and haven't plugged it in yet.Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.Comment

Beautiful Strat! I don't think the pick-guard is clear... the pick-up height adjustment screws and lack of routing channels between the pick-ups would be noticeable if it were clear."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

Yeah I didn't really think about it at the time but it does mean I'll need to be careful as I don't know how you would replace the scratch plate if something happened to it. The back is paisley patterned too.Comment

Ok you made me look and I'm impressed. There are actually 2 pick guard plates, a clear smoky one over the paisley one. Also for good measure the pattern is on the guitar itself underneath.
Belt and braces quality. I've been playing it all week, I'm super pleased with it.

Does it have standard pickups and electronics or something special on-board?
That color scheme with the rosewood fret board looks perfect. All my Fenders have maple fret boards... been thinking of looking for something with a softer fret board mainly for some jazz stuff that calls for warmer tone."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

Annoyingly it's a lot cheaper in the US if you can find one there they are going for about $1000.Comment

What amazes me are the prices on the Custom Shop strats. $4500 for the 'cheap' ones. I'm told they sound just like the old vintage strats; I guess I'll have to take their word for it. But if these are so custom, why does the guitar shop have an entire wall of them on display? Seems like quite a bit of money for a slab guitar they beat-up in the factory.
