I really think a lot had to do with the people around us. We had an older couple in front of us who were clearly comped and were fighting with each other instead of watching the show. They left early. Just in general I was the only one in my immediate area (aside from my hubby) who was singing, yelling, dancing, jumping. And I'm pretty sure if I wasn't coming from the garden show with my fave song ever (TFB), it woulda been the best show ever for me too. Still far surpassed the last tour for me. In the future, if I see VH at Mohegan, I think I'd be better off in non-VIP.

Yeah it was a thousand times better than the last tour My thoughts were that after the great time at the Dubliner, sitting alone with this bunghole next to me kinda brought me down.

wanted to mention that in the middle of "Hot for Teacher" Dave yelled - " Told you we were coming back - say you missed us!"

In '81 saw guy fall and tumble roll from entrance top step to floor, beer splashing in his bounces at Forum before VH started. So wasted not hurt or cracked head, but was one of those slow motion things that had all watching jaw dropped. 300 pounder for the strike!

At a Van Halen concert several years ago I miscalculated the dosage a bit and I'm sorry to say that it happened to me. At the show with a friend who had also been having a few and we decided to make a food and bathroom run, we get out of our seats and to the steps when someone else in our group calls out to us, we turn around and now have our back to the descending steps, with our heels practically hanging off the step. I look over and my friend seems to be gently listing toward the steps and I am afraid he's gonna fall. So doing my good deed for the day, I reach out and push him forward, which serves to push me backward, past the point of no return. In desperation I grab my friend and pull him toward me and we both go down the steps, him riding me down an entire flight of beer slickened steps like the sled in "Home Alone" (fortuntely he only weighs about 140 lbs) and all I can think the whole way down is to keep my head forward so maybe I don't crack my skull with people watching. We make it to the bottom and immediately rise to a hearty round of appause as only two drunks can. The next day every inch of my body between my ass cheeks and the base of my skull is one giant bruise, with special emphasis on my pelvic bones and each of my vertebrae. It was at that point I made the descision that next time I'm gonna pretend not to notice and let his ass fall.

Yeah, can you imagine if they go on at 7:45? How many people are going to show up at 8:45? FUCK!!

I did notice that my Boston Tix have Kool and the gang printed on them - and Mohegan did not. Maybe that's how we were supposed to figure it out - if it hadn't been for the posts here, I would have been walking in at 8:45. Whew.

speaking of people in the crowd...in Chicago the guy who was 2 seats to my right just stood the whole show with his arms folded....i mean no emotion the whole night...just a blank stare...either he was high as a kite or a serial killer...maybe both!

I was so thankful I had the Roth Army shirt at Uncasville - Dave's PA Rental spotted me, all alone and forlorn - and we had the nicest time before the concert. Was so pleased to meet another Roth Army person who is as good in person as he is on the internet! truly sorry I missed Momshell and Les Funk. I don't think any of us thought the place would be that packed!
