This is a really small venue, with thousands less than MSG. I'm sorry, but how do you guys think that a crowd of 40-50-somethings is supposed to "represent"? There were PLENTY of people standing up cheering for the whole show. Especially during the "HEY! HEY! HEY!" of ATBL. I saw old, bald, fat dudes jumping up and down towards the end of the show. Of course it helped with my vibe that I was there with two of my three brothers, and also two of my old high school buddies. We had a great time at Dubliners before the show, and we really carried that party into the arena and up to our seats. Everyone experiences the world in their own way, and everyone can have their opinion...but jeeeez.

Now, I was very skeptical about how Dave's performance would be, based on the Youtube clips that I had seen from this tour so far. I actually agreed with Elvis and was critical based on Youtube clips. Understand this Elvis: It all makes perfect sense and is truly amazing when you see it live. I can't stress that enough. China Town was not a train wreck. There was a spot where it sounded like the BAND kind of screwed up. Maybe it was a different song, but I thought that I heard Alex and Wolfie kind of get off the groove for a measure or two.

I really felt like Dave and the band were really feeding off the crowd during WIL and GGB. I thought that it was a special few moments. Now maybe that was all in my head, but that's ok. I've never been as happy at a concert than I was last night. I was surrounded by family and friends, we were all there to experience VAN HALEN firing on all cylinders. To make it even better, I was able to share it live with many of you at this place. I really felt like alot of you were sitting right next to me. I've only actually met a few of you, but spending over 10 years interacting in text form, a certain sense of familiarity with strangers is possible.

It was the greatest concert I have ever been to. I'm sorry that not everyone feels the same.
I dont know pa. but your review sounds just like mine, i thought the crowd was there, now msg can hold around 20,000, mohegan 10,000, its a great place to see a show, and i thought it was the best concert i,ve seen

      Dude, I totally believe that...

You know me, but I'm pumped for my wife to see Van Halen...

She was born in 1984 and she gave me tickets for the New Orleans show as a valentine gift...

They should kick ass that night!!!

I really hope that if that's the last U.S. date for a while they'll go balls out with set list and presentation. On the other hand I worry that they will be going through the motions and wanting to get it over with at that point. Fingers crossed for the former.
I like to pay close attention to the things I'll forget later...

a few views from last nights show.... Eddie was unreal, really on his game, Dave made a couple comments early on, one being " he'a having a good night.... Dave was Dave, I personally think he's great. Dave made several comments about playing in a casino, to the point where he was obsessing on it. I was in section 108, first row, great seats, but NOBODY was standing, which by Romeo Delight I popped a squat. The show started at 7:55 and caught alot of people by suprise. They could work on there opening and closing, whatever. Missed I'm The One, Cradle and Mean Street but loved Women In Love, amazing. Girl Gone Bad was great, Hear Abot It Later needs some work, but still great to hear. Although not a fan of Pretty Woman and I'll Wait, They are really crowd favorites. I saw 2 geeks in Chickenfoot shirts, and at least one of them had bought a VH shirt. My wife LOVED the show, was amazed how they crank out song after song after song. Alex seemed to struggle a little at times, but he still cranks. Overall, I loved the show, it's nice to see Eddie happy and healthy. DLR is King !!! Aspecial thanks to Wolfie, without him none of this happens.

Can't envision having seats that close to the stage, paying that kind of money, and sitting down for the whole show, but whatever....

A fuck up or two is not the same as struggling. Eddie 04. Thats struggling to me.
