Not really sure, bro!
He had all the usually elements in there.....Eruption with noodling, some wild ass feedback noodling, Cathedral with noodling and ending with Eruption.
When the fog rolled out it was surreal.
His solo's are the best since the 90's, period!

Ha! I just remembered this Al and Wolfie were talking to each other throughout Ed's solo....they're, if you're looking at the stage, to the left of Al's gong. It looked like they were discussing the show and making adjustments, judging by their body language.Last edited by kwame k; 02-21-2012, 06:26 PM.Originally posted by vandeleurE- Jesus . Great show at the Palace - They were better than '07 and Wolf looked more comfortable and actually walked around the stage a bit. Eddie was nailing the notes, Al was kicking ass and Dave sounded good for the most part and was a great frontman. I think where there timing was off, it was due to being only the second show....It was funny...during Pretty Woman they had these spot lights shining on video board and when Dave noticed it,he telling them to turn them off while in the middle of signing the song - kind of a Spinal Tap moment but hilarious and real...definitely what you want from Van Halen.Comment

After looking at almost all the videos of last night, i can only say that they need to drop DTNA and insert another song from the new album. Dave struggles on that song and there's no need to keep it in the set. I vote for Bullethead, Stay Frosty or one of the other 3 reworked songs. Every other song they are doing they are killing it. DTNA while classic, is best listened to on the album only now. June 26 can't get here fast enough.Comment

To me the weakest song was Pretty Woman......
The band tore DTNA up and more than compensated for Dave struggling.Originally posted by vandeleurE- Jesus . Playing both sides because he didnt understand the argument in the first placeComment

Well, since you were there i stand to be corrected. i just figured if he was struggling, a song change would remedy that, since it looedk like they are just tearing everything else up.Comment
