Agreed, and I should have thought about that as I have been to well over 400 concerts in my life, sitting in all different places. Favorite place in an arena, is right by the sound guy, as he optimizes the sound to his perspective

Last tour in Montreal, I was the first section on Ed's side, great seat but the sound was crap, really breaking up.

Shoes, Twona and Lou were on the floor, and said the sound was excellent.

Fuck yeah!! I was two fucking section from you ON EDS SIDE and sound was AMAZING.... BEST venue by far
