Roth Army ReviewRoth Tour Review and exclusive pictures

What's it take to get on the frontpage? Write a review...send some exclusive pics, and don't sound like a complete douchebag. It's that simple.

    review courtesy of JustinJ:

Well I can say it officially now...MY DLR CHERRY HAS BEEN POPPED AND IT FEELS DAMN GOOD! When we first got there the crowd was a little thin, to be honest, it had me a little worried. I also saw they were selling tickets buy one get one. The opening band was a local philly rock band called Octane. They sounded all right but yet the crowd was still thin. They played like an hour long set and then it was time for the man. In a matter of no time after Octane leaving the stage, Kahunaville became PACKED. I couldn't believe my eyes when I turned around to see the mass amount of people packing in.

    It was time...

With his Bo staff in hand, DLR stepped onto the stage and began to
give it a twirl. Before you knew it, he and the rest of the band jumped
right into Hot For the Teacher. The crowd erupted singing the song and
jumping around, this is how it stayed all night long. Dave stopped
acouple times to shoot the shit with us. He informed us that he penis
is no longer being called "lil elvis" but it will now be known as "The
Big Kahuna." Fucking hilarious. Also he saw a girl in the front row. He
asked her if she was about 20 or 21 years old. He then began talking
about the girl's mother standing next to her. He said, "Did I fuck you,
cause I've been coming here[Kahunaville] for about 20 years now." He
used this story to flow into "Im Just a Gigolo." The bottle of Jack
made its usual appearance and was spilled after being pelvically
thrusted all over the stage. During Get Me a Doctor, a girl gave DLR a
shot of jager in which he took a swig of then poured the rest back down her chin and chest. Great Stuff.ice cream manFor a rendition of Icecream Man, Dave pulled out the acoustic guitar and rocked out. DLR and the crew
finished up the night with Jump in which everybody went crazy for.
People were semi moshing and jumping around, while others were being surfed around the crowd.

All in all a great fucking night!

I Fucked your MotherIve always been a DLR/VH listener but my friend Joe Pac aka Rothdaddy got me to get on this site and Im so glad he did. At the show I got to meet a bunch of great guys/army members. Thanks for a good time guys and thanks Joe for helping me to take the next step in the world of Roth.

Coming SOON! We recently sent out correspondants to talk about their day in the life on a Roth concert day. And yeah motherfuckers, to make sure things were fair, we had a Roth fan goto a Roth Show, and a Hagar fan goto a Hagar show. So we have an unbiased look at each fan's day, and an interesting look INDEED!
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

              St. Pete

Hello and good morning all, David Lee Roth played St. Pete's Vinoy park last night. I have seen alot of Van Halen and David lee Roth Concerts, Diver Down being the first one I went too. I have seen Dave play small crowds of less than a 1000 people to packed arenas. I saw him a couple years ago when he was touring with Sammy Hagar wich wasn't that good of a concert, sorry. Last night David Lee was in top form, the band sounded good, the place was packed, there was barbque and beer the weather was nice. All I can really say is Dave's Back.
My only complaint about the show was a couple people in the crowd who tried to push their way forward I got their early so I could get a good seat and all these ass holes who came late think I should let them by it wasn't going to happen the funny thing is when one of them threatened my 17 year old son and called him a lil punk. I am about 6' 216 lbs my son is 6'2 about 170 and this guy was about 5'5 my son told him who are you calling little bitch, so other than a few ass holes in the crowd it was great. It is always nice to hear vintage Van Halen played the way it is supposed to be heard. Like I said the band played excellent too.
The biggist dissappointment was no Yankee Rose, maybe next time.
Life's to short to drink cheap beer.

                Hollywood Florida Show

Its Thursday morning and the first available time I have had to post on the show in Hollywood this past Monday. First off, DAVE IS BACK!!! This was Daves best show in a long time. I havent missed a show since I first saw him December 9th, 1982. This was also an extra special show for me because I brought my 12 year old daughter to experience the greatest frontman to ever live. When we got to the Hard Rock, you could feel the energy level starting to mount and the anticipation for what was coming. I saw Brian Young (Guitar) walking by and I started talking to him about the last time that I ran into him was the night before the Tour with Spammy at a club in Palm Beach. He recalled the incident and even finished the story and said that he and the Girl he was with (Stacey) were just talking about it. Cant get into details. My buddy Luis then showed up and went inside to get a ticket. He got 5th row. I was abit upset because I bought my tickets the second they went on sale and didnt even get close to that. So I went to the counter and asked what was available for Two people. Well I got FRONT ROW CENTER. WOW!!!
I was lovin life. Sold my tickets for half price and proceeded inside. Oh yeah, I had my daughter wear my 1982 Diver Down Tour T-shirt, which wouldnt even come close to fitting me. As 8pm passed everyone was getting anxious. But then the lights went out and you heard the start of Hot for Teacher. As soon as Dave came out, The crowd went wild. Dave was pimpin that night in his light blue outfit. Dave WAS F'n ON this night. Belting out tune after tune. His voice sounded incredible. He was back and didnt just sing song after song as he did when he toured with spammy. It was the old Dave revived. Stopping inbetween songs to take a shot of Jack and BS with the audience. He was truely back. The hilight of the show for me was when Dave had a one on one conversation with my daughter. He was great. He started by asking her how old she was. She said 12. Dave said you know, I was in Florida about 12 years ago, Do I know your Mother. Then he asked her if this was her first concert. She said it was her second. Dave said, oh you've seen me before. Then he was telling her that he wanted to be a black man when he was growing up. and introduced her to the band. This went on for close to 10 minutes. Dave if you are out there reading these, I just want to say THANK YOU!!! You made my daughter feel like the center of the Universe that night. Thats something she will have with her for the rest of her life. It also gave her a boost of confidence and self esteem. oh and dave said at the end that she should give him a call in 9 years. The rest of the show was awesome. The band was incredible. The harmonies were perfect. Brian Young is one hell of a guitar player. I wish Dave luck in radio, but please do not stop touring. My favorite song they played was Somebody Get Me a Doctor. DAVE, YOU ROCK!!!!!
