Ok, by alias I meant someone who regurly posts here who is too much of a pussy to come out and say what they really think.

Yes my real name is Binnie. (long story)

I don't think Dave wants to do the Bluegrass circuit, he was in one of the biggest bands of all time, why would he want to play to a handful of inbreds who have just developed thumbs?

This is an experiment, I don't think he is trying to conquer the world of Bluegrass....

Um, you don't believe I said what I really think? Why would anyone hide from giving an opinion? Do you people lynch folks here?

True - he's used to playing to intellectuals who only have index fingers and pinkies...

        lmfao...

I'm not a bluegrass fan...and would register to guess that Dave doesn't sound bluegrass in the least...so I get BLUEGRASS fans not liking the singing aspect of it...

although I thought it sounded good...

but to be honest...of all the tunes on the album...that one was the worst...he did it on the show...because it's a popular tune...

and you are right to an extent...Roth fans liked the vocals...and I actually loved the bluegrass musicians...

overall...for a Roth fan...it gives us the vocalist that we enjoy...along with a new style of music behind him...

overall...a good thing to say the least...

but no...all opinions are welcomed...pro or con...

              FROM SHNIDE,
This was my first post, ever. I'm a huge Van Halen fan, and Roth was their best frontman, by far. But this? Lose the hillbillies Dave, and let a great song stay great. This, for me was like listening to Frank Sinatra sing "My Way" as a Latin opera.

                LOL!

                Not a bad comeback there!

did your wife or sister give you that one? Or is that the same person?
I'm guessing your family tree looks like a stump?

Well if you aren't an alias, it's pretty sad that you would register on a DLR website for the sole purpose of telling us you think his blugrass tunes suck.

Is there not a Bluegrass forum you can go on, or have you not got the technology down there?

As far as I am concerned they are Dave's songs and he can do whatever he likes with them, and if you don't like then kindly fuck off!

They want to sound legitimate...and not like the Cheese-Curdled, Bette Midler fans they really are...

I don't mind not liking the performance...

                      just fucking admit why...

                            What's to hide?

I've come right out and said it. Roth sucked with the hillybilly version of Jump.

You guys see a conspiracy behind that, then you really are a bunch of
                            fuckups.

So much for the "forum" aspect of this forum. For your info guys, "forum" means to air an opinion. Apparently this is not an opinion board as much as a two-fingered starry-eyed DLR suck-up fest.

Oh, binnie - Those "hillbillies" are literal musical virtuosos (four have degrees in music - one a PHD) in the real music world; I'm not sure you know what that means, but it's why DLR couldn't keep up. They reduced him to a finger-snapping Wayne Newton wannabe who couldn't even identify the soloists.
