Van Halen tour on HOLD?!?!?

Personally I think all of these rumors are bullshit. Daves never been one to hold his tongue and if he was screwed by EVH or the tour was cancelled due to whatever reason than you know he would have spoken up already. Secondly, if they had cancelled the tour and booted Dave to the curb than you can bet your dollars that the VH web site would have been pulled or at least changed pronto. Nether has happened so chances are that either the tour is still a go and nothing other than the bullshit rumors have changed or the brothers and Dave are still on decent terms and the tour has just been set back a bit. The only news that is fact so far as far as any of us know is that the official VH web site says they're touring with Dave this summer for 40 dates!

indeed, you told it some weeks ago. i must admit, i didnt believe the rehab thing at that point, cos the reunion tour was officially announced, just like other tours that are announced (police,genesis...) but i forgot that VH is a dysfunctional band, cos ed is dysfunctional. i had believed that bertinelli was the main cause for the cancellation, cos no mother would let his son spend more than an hour with a freak like ed, who indeed fucked everything up, including his health. i guess it is more likely that the beatles (incl. lennon + harrison) get back together... VH died in 1996 after me wise magic! and if it happens one day... what good would it be to see 60 years old dudes playing JUMP?
VAN HALEN is inducted into the hall of fame... and the only original member showing up will be the bassist who is no longer in the band - the whole thing looks like a sketch written by monty python. or is this SPINAL TAP - the new movie? dave, i feel sorry for ya!

Well, I went to the website to see about the tour shit, and guess what I saw,Eddie is in rehab. they should ask for michael anthony to come back and let wolfie replace his dads drunken ass, I mean that has been the whole problem to begin with, I wish he would just put the booze down and make some friggin music before he croaks

Tour not on hold

The Van Halen World Tour 2007,8,9,10 is not on hold... it is just getting started.

Phase 1. Tell everyone you are about to reunite with Roth for a tour.

2. Seek medical advice and detoxify so the alcohol and drugs actually work once the tour starts

3. Cut hair, get a tan, take pics for magazines, show interest in racing cars, still stay less than 2 sentences just in case someone stumbles on the truth, allude to any change being too difficult to deal with so fans can feel more disappointment

4. Start rehearsals, take some substances along just in case

5. Start drinking again and call up Mike (or Sammy depending on how much of an effect the alcohol has with substance abuse)

6. Hit the road running... or staggering in June 2009. Either way, disappointing most fans

7. All smiles for group shots, nasty backstabbing bitchy comments made at all other times ( or silence dependent on alcohol consumption and time of day)

8. Fans disappointed but really did not have any expectations, so tour is a success and winds up in July 2009

9. No more new VH music for another 10 years.

10. Rehab part XVII, Wolfie needs rehab too and that causes his first album to be delayed for 10 years. Valerie won't let him release it because it has gay lyrics and Eddie thinks his guitar parts are not loud enough, ie they aren't drowning out Wolfgang's bass, drums and singing.

In reality, Ed died. He's dead and gone. Alex still needs money and without his little brother, he's sunk. So Al has hired a Eddie look alike and that is why the transformation after rehab is so increadable. Ed looks happy and healthy because the guy at the Nascar race and in Guitar Player Magazine is not Ed. It's a impersinator Alex has brought on board. There is one problem. The impersinator doesn't play guitar. They thought the dude could fake it to a recording but it's not working out too well. So until this dude learns to shread or he can master air guitar to the point where nobody will notice the tour is off.
