The Top 100 most influental people in VH message board history.
Did B.C. actually think he was being insulting? Did he even go so far as to convince himself that "Bob" replaced with "Knob" was something original? I wonder.
It's actually somewhat amusing - people quit exchange "Bob" for "Knob" to make fun of me back in...1983, I guess. Reason being is that they all left third grade, went into fourth grade. Insults got a little more creative and interesting.

I was running at a track meet once and pulled a hamstring muscle into the 4th lap - was leading the race, too - ended up missing a week or two or track before it came back to 100%.
During the interim, rumor made it's way around that I collapsed from dehydration and was begging for water (which wasn't true) - for a good three or four months after, EVEN AS I WAS WINNING RACES, people would come up and offer me dixie cups of water at oddball times.
Eventually, of course, it lost it's appeal, but it was a bit more creative than name calling, I'll say that much. Usually I accepted the water in good taste.
First time around, an upper classman (a couple years my senior) offered it to me, and he was the genesis of the whole thing. I limped over to him, said "THANKS!", took the water like I really needed it, and instead of drinking it, I threw it in his face.
He, being the buff bodybuilder tough guy that he was, decided right there to kick my ass, like I knew he would - so before he got a chance to do anything, I kicked him in the balls, kicked him in the kneecap dropped on top of him and punched him in the nose about eight times.
The girls he was hanging with? Oh, all fun and games and laughter at my expense until I kicked the fucking shit out of Mr. Popularity right in front of them. All of a sudden, I'm some kind of asshole and getting suspended.
Ha! Some tough guy...I have a pulled hamstring, and I'm half his size and I completely fucking erase his face for months...lmao
Ahh, the good old days. This trip down memory lane has been brought to you by Bueno Bob, Guitar Shark and the kind people of the Sheep Pen!

So THAT'S why ALAN has always had an extreme hatred of Klingons.
Cute li'l guy, eh?

This thread is like a walk down memory lane... When the VH boards were about VH! NOT this silly pen BS.
Oh and Rikk... I'm glad you finally realize that the biker thing was just a pun. "It's About Time"
Fuck off.
I'll post in whatever fucking thread on this website I see fit.
It's a good thing I didn't bring up GARRETT THE DOG or I'd be running for my life from 35 Hell's Angels right now.

On a further note about this...it's fine and dandy to respect those who grew the online community to what it is, sure. I certainly do, and I give all props in the world to them.
However -
Back in '96 I was involved reading the online community on a daily basis. Would I be more "important" if I had registered then and starting posting?
Guess what? I did.
Not that I kept any of my user names or passwords over the years. I was busy, out on the road making a life as a musician. Had a lot of fun with it. And it kept me away from the internet for often times LONG periods.
But I contributed here and there, sure.
Since I've been mostly retired from that and with my family full time, I can post more, and have done so for the last few years.
And before you accuse the Pen of starting "Star Wars"/"Alan the Panther" topic, maybe you should take a look back at this thread and see who brought Alan up in the first place, and THEN direct your anger where it's better deserved.
Rikk said: "This is an interesting read".
I said: "I made 69! Great number! Thanks!"
At that point, all the talk about Alan and the Pen started being tossed around. Neither Rikk nor I were responsible for any of it. Re-read and find out if you don't believe me.
Most of you could do with a lot of "Live and Let Live" when it comes to Alan the Panther. It doesn't harm you any more than psycho-babble Christianity here does, and there's plenty of that, too. Frankly, I find Alan the Panther a lot more (or at least AS) believable.
