Hello.
My name is Bastardson.
I found this site looking into rumours that after a sucsessful tour
David Lee Roth was going to join Eddie , Alex and Wolfgang in the
studio for an album tentatively titled VH4.
I found nothing to confirm or deny this.
I'm an old time rock and roller .
My kids think I'm stuck in the 60's.
I dug the sixties but prefer the music of the late 60's and the
whole 70's.
Grew up with Elvis , Buddy Holly , Ricky Nelson and the likes
as my early favorites .
Became a beatnik in the early 60's.
Evolved into a hippy a few years later.
Hung out with the Deadheads for a couple years .
Then I started getting into Hendrix and the harder rock.
I know I saw Van Halen a few times in the 70's but can't
remember too much about the venues.
One show was an outdoors festival in the late 70's.
The others were indoors with Van Halen and some forgotten
opening act.
When their music started changing with the times in the early
80's I lost interest in the band.
Never liked the Sammy Hagar stuff but had been a Montrose
fan.
Health issues prevented me from seeing them on the last tour.
I'm better now but the years have taken their toll on me.
Never was a big drinker or drug addict.
Smoked a lot of pot.
Did a few hits of acid.
Liked the mushrooms and peyote until I had a couple bad expeiriences.
Only take a few tokes now on special occasions.
Still got my hair .
It's thinner and gray but still covers my head.
Last time I saw Dave was at a club in Orange County.
On the fliers he had some bizzare hairdo with a ball of hair in the
front.
But he had a regular haircut at the show.
He sounded pretty good which suprised me because everyone
who saw him with Hagar said he was washed up.
Still awaiting news of the bands future.
