Yes, a carbonyl is a carbon atom that's double bonded to a single oxygen atom. I can only guess you're using carbonyls in reference to carbon monoxide which is the closest scientific connection to cigarettes and therefore e-cigarettes...

e-cigarettes do not burn any organic material so carbon monoxide is not present in the vapor. Nothing is burned in fact... The heating coils do not reach temperature high enough to burn stuff... they create vapor from e-liquid which is predominately hygroscopic liquids (propylene glycol & vegetable glycerin) containing liquid nicotine.
