I will commit to what I can reasonably do... I'll ensure I don't contribute to the conflict any further. In addition, I will continue to discourage members of DLRF not to come over and do what they've been doing.

My previous efforts have not been very effective and I can't guarantee you any better results any more than anyone else can... But you have my word and commitment which I believe is still in good standing based on our previous dealings.

I'll do the same & Zahzoo can vouch that I've been trying my best as well.

My application for sainthood was withdrawn decades ago... I'll admit to having contributed a bit part to this conflict in expressing my own opinions.

My attempt this morning was to inject some dialog that might help move this in a direction to end of all this crap. Von asked where do we want to go with this... I answered him. An all out site war won't resolve anything.

As admins we could take measures (thread closures, banning, etc...) to contain this... it's our preference though that these adults manage their behavior so we don't have to.

If you have a suggestion to help end this... I'm willing to listen and assist where I can.

I like to go straight to what motivates people. In the case of WARF who I happen to think is a funny poster but has crossed more than a few lines here.
As a formal admin of some type on your site would it be too much to ask that he stop trying to recruit here?
It seems fairly obvious his strategy here is to take advantage of any rules differences and take it to to the extreme and then use that fact and aftermath to convince members here they would be better off at rothfans.
It seems to me you would be in a position to affect change there. You can't control what WARF posts but you are able to have some sort of overall rules of engagement for how your site is run. That would include strategies employed for gaining new members. I think this would be a good start. Basically what i am saying is you can't keep returning to the same jokers wildcard every time someone goes off the rails. At some point you are accountable for the staff's actions. The fact we are discussing a site war affirms this. Thanks

Let's please put an end to this speculation... vBulletin passwords are stored in encrypted format in protected directories that even a typical admin/webbie such as Warf's account do NOT have access authority to. Even if one were to gain access to where they are stored they would require the encryption keys to convert them to cleartext that could be read. Warham is the only person with top level administration access to the Fans board... Warf does NOT have that access or control of the software.

So enough of all this... No one from either site is hacking member accounts or passwords. No one.
